Life and Work in Eastern Europe
Massmedia like tv and newspapers are the most important
source to get information about the ongoing changes in
easteuropean countrys. These broadcastsystems are
spreading news about events like wars or economic
processes but do not tell anything about circumstances
or consequences for the individual. Recipients grown up
in western civilisation look at these events from a
point of view as if everything is just a normal part of
their own media reality on the tv screen. Artists are
asked to reflect their point of view referring to
changes in everydaylife, artwork in the last years in
case of break-ins, radical changes, economic
compulsions, conditions of work, power freely to
dispose of means of production.
